At whole, things are not going on well in our life and family at all, as a mother am struggling alone to raise up my children and also to be able to provide for them, it is not an easy job. My husband is jobless; he had a job and after lost his job thus the struggle on my side.

Before I joined LIA, things were not really good as mentioned earlier; I had a lot of bills to cater for i.e. house rent, school fees, feeding, and others yet I lacked a stable way of earning a living. So life at whole was like hell to me

I look at joining LIA as God’s grace and mercy, that befell me and it was a great chance for me, I did join LIA in March 2006.

At LIA I was able to learn a number of things, besides the learning I was able to get a work opportunity with the invisible children project that deals in bracelet making.
With the work opportunity things stared to change in my life, my family, there was a general improvement in my standards of living, specifically my financial status changed positively.

NAMING IN AFRICA (BUGANDA CULTURE)
In Buganda naming is a very important thing that is carried out on every one, specifically those born under the Buganda culture. The Buganda kingdom has many clans of which each clan names according to its background. These clans include, the mbogo clan, the engabi clan, and the mpologoma among others.

Personally I come from the Engabi clan, in this particular clan, one is given a name by the grand father, this is the way it is from the past that, the grand father always gives the name or does the naming.

The naming is done in such away that, the meaning of the given name has a message it sends or communicates to the forth coming generations and also naming is done based on portraying or speaking on the great things that did happen in the past in a particular culture, things like wars, events and specific beliefs.

In the Buganda culture they give names like Yiga, Naiyigaga and many others, the meaning of the name Yiga, is a hunter and Namisis- means that when this child was born earth quake did pass.

Therefore, the naming in Buganda is used to send messages or pass on a particular communication to the future generations.

LOAN REQUEST
I currently run or operate a business of stationed public pay phone.
I here by request for a loan of 500000/= in order to widen on my business of stationed public phones. I plan to increase my business by stationing and buying two more phone sets.
I agree to fully pay this loan in 12 months.

LOAN BUDGET

ITEMS COST
Phone sets (2) 360,000/=
Airtime 40000/=
Ply wood (4 pieces) 48000/=
Rent (3months) 50000/=
Nails (1kg) 2000/=

Total 500’000/=

Note;
I have already stared working on my business plans and so far I have been able to preserve 300000/= to add on the money I am requesting as a loan and beg to pay it with in 12 months.
I will be very grateful if my application is put in to consideration.

Thanks
